I read about the idea of Cornwall County Council in effect becoming the single authority in Cornwall. Why? Because centralised services would save money and offer a more beneficial service? Hogwash!
As a Cornishman forced to leave the county due to house prices, I now live in the Afan Valley in Wales. A few years ago they came across a similar idea, abolished West Glamorgan County Council and gave the borough councils county powers.See the full content of this document
