The Rev Albert Gard, the well-loved and respected retired Methodist minister from Woodford, Plympton, died in Bolton on October 20, aged 86.
He was born on June 20, 1920, at Drayford, North Devon, the sixth of 11 children of Joseph and Mary. At chapel, and just 12 years of age, Albert's heart was moved to give himself to God and as a teenager was called to become a preacher.See the full content of this document
