Summary
The royal nuptials would have clashed with other events whatever day they chose, as most of us are busy with full schedules often months or years in advance. And with plans well advanced in the building of a new children's hospice in Cornwall, the Bridgwater Lions Club International had already organised a fundraising auction of fine art to aid the worthy charity dedicated to help those families with children who are not expected to live their normal three score years and ten.
Various artists were approached for donated artworks, and more than 40 professionals responded with some beautiful creations. All these have been catalogued, photographed and published for the auction to be held in the Walnut Tree Hotel in North Petherton near Bridgwater, where bidding is by numbered catalogue, Pounds 3. No auctioneer's commission will be added and the two charities benefiting when proceedings begin at 7pm is the Children's Hospice South West and the Radiology Unit at Musgrave Hospital in Taunton. All lots are on view in the public rooms of the hotel from today until Thursday, when they will be taken down prior to the auction in the conference room on Friday evening.See the full content of this document
