Cornish Pirates high performance manager Chris Stirling is expecting a big defensive improvement when his side travels to Championship rivals London Welsh this weekend.

The Pirates beat bottom side Esher 34-18 at Mennaye Field last Sunday, and although Stirling was happy with certain elements of the display, he still wants big progress tomorrow at Old Deer Park.
