The beef price may be dodgy, the milk price barely sustainable and cereal prices see-sawing like a yo-yo - but there is plenty to celebrate in British agriculture, Farming Minister Jim Paice told an audience of 130 Westcountry producers.
Theirs was a hugely important part of the food supply industry, worth Pounds 85 billion in added value to the nation's economy, said Mr Paice. If British farmers did not produce the vital raw materials, processors would look elsewhere for them.See the full content of this document
