I am writing to express my horror at the Israeli invasion of Gaza and the numerous civilian casualties it caused. I am of course also opposed to the missile attacks on civilians in Israel, but have no doubt that the invasion was a disproportionate response which was actually counter-productive.

I am alarmed at the way media reports so often fail to mention the fact that Israel is an illegal occupier of much Palestinian territory, in which it has allowed Zionist settlement, thus failing to comply with UN resolutions, and that Israel has applied a savage blockade on Gaza to punish civilians for their support of Hamas at elections.
