Summary
Our nephew has developed a great interest in all matters concerning the environment, in particular "global warming". He had made up his mind that global warming is happening and is entirely due to the activities of modern humans.
But recently a few things have niggled away at his thoughts. One was that in early 1987, south-western parts of the British Isles suffered their lowest temperature recorded in living memory, causing death or severe damage to palm trees and other tender trees that had in some instances been growing there for over a century.See the full content of this document
