David Cameron's remark concerning the threat to Cornwall's historic border at the Tamar in which he stated "It's the Tamar, not the Amazon for goodness sake" shows the way in which Westminster politicians belittle the Cornish issue, and their arrogance and ignorance of the position of Cornwall historically, constitutionally, culturally, and in the hearts and minds of her people.

Mr Cameron has to understand that this is not a "county" boundary, but a national boundary that has stood for more than 1,000 years, not something to be torn up for cheap political advantage.
