Think of the world of Tolkien: the intimate hills of the Shire where the Hobbits lived; the lovely woods of Rivendell, home of Lord of the Rings' heroic Elves; or indeed any of the wild landscapes conjured in that extraordinary fantasy tale - and you could at a stretch transfer such imagery to the hills and dales of the Westcountry.

Which, in some ways, is exactly what an Exmoor-based artist did when she was called upon to make the jewellery for the much- celebrated trilogy of movies based on Lord of the Rings.
