Ike Pappas, who has died at the age of 75, was the CBS newsman who reported live on air the fatal shooting of presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
Pappas, who also covered major events including the Vietnam War and anti-war demonstrations at home, was in Dallas after John F Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963, reporting for New York radio station WNEW, when police brought the manacled Oswald into the police station basement two days later to be transferred to the jail.See the full content of this document
