The debate on climate change goes on - and so it should - but not in the letters pages of newspapers between warring factions of the public. There must be a full, open debate between the world's top scientists and climatologists.

First we were told the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change team of 2,500 scientists had "proved beyond doubt" that humans are to blame for global warming and that carbon emissions must be reduced, no matter what the cost, "to save the world", with dire threats of massive rises in sea levels, violent hurricanes etc. if we don't.
