Not Enough Support for Hunt Repeal Bill ; Letters

Summary

The hunting set are being suckered by Tory HQ. In the shires they are the Conservative Party's poor bloody infantry, stuffing envelopes, knocking on doors to get the Tory vote out, and the rich ones like Dave Cameron's father-in-law Lord Astor are big cheese financial supporters of the party.

They are being fed the line that there are so many priority issues for the coalition government to address there just isn't the parliamentary time right now to honour the Conservative 2010 election manifesto commitment by introducing a one-line repeal Bill. It's hogwash. There won't be a repeal Bill in 2012 because there aren't enough Tory MPs to get it passed, and the bright MPs have already worked out that openly supporting the repeal of the Hunting Act will lose you the constituency youth and pet owners votes. Cameron can't admit this, or the hunters will join UKIP or some loony right-wing group where they feel more at home.
