Second Home Numbers Hit Record Level - and It's Going to Get Higher

The number of second home owners has soared to record levels - with 10 per cent of some Westcountry areas occupied by holiday properties. Nearly 250,000 Britons own two properties and experts predict the second home boom will continue this year.

Around 5,000 more buyers are expected to acquire another property - with many targeting Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
