'Old' and 'Folks' Are All Right with Me ; Letters

Summary


WHY do people get so upset about what they are called? Sheila Curzon (letter, January 20), who may or may not be one of us, objects to the phrase "old folks". Well we are old, and I rather like the word "folks".

I get called all sorts of things from "grumpy" by the grandchildren to "wrinkly" (which I usually call myself) or "fossil" by one of my daughters-in-law!
