Apig farmer in western Cornwall who had to change his family business for the sake of his wife's health says that a move into organic farming has been a lifeline. Rex and Pat Hosking run Gear Farm in St Martin, near Helston. Once the yard was full of 200 pigs: now, its outbuildings host a co-operative of several small businesses committed to the same cause: organic lifestyle.
Pat Hosking contracted severe allergies 20 years ago and nothing seemed to help. Then, one day she heard a homeopath on the radio describe her symptoms exactly.
