A CORNISH ferry skipper who put the lives of passengers at risk by going to sea without a serviced liferaft has been jailed for six months.
George Henry Pill, 61, pleaded guilty to the charge and to the hydrostatic release unit (HRU) - a device which releases the raft in the event of an emergency - having expired.See the full content of this document
