Patients Still Paying for Free Cancer Drugs

Thousands of cancer patients are still needlessly paying for medicines two years after the Government created an automatic exemption, a leading charity has revealed.

A survey by Macmillan Cancer Support has indicated that 38 per cent of patients in Cornwall and 28 per cent in Devon say they were not told by the hospital treating them that prescriptions were free.
