Paul Sets a World Record - at 80

Summary


Pensioner Paul Tipney is set to enter the record books as the world's oldest triathlete - at the age of 80. The grandfather-of- seven took up running during his retirement to keep in shape but his fitness soared and he soon began entering competitions nationwide.

The pensioner has since completed a shattering 255 races including 76 half marathons, five full marathons, 13 triathlons and 160 other stamina-based events.
