John Brenton, from Sennen Cove near Land's End, is an oil painter who captures the timeless quality of Cornwall, particularly where land and sea meet. His blues have spiritual, energising power.
Brenton probably sees Cornwall as Alfred, Lord Tennyson, would have looked at the terrain when the Poet Laureate came on his Arthurian quest all those years ago.
