THE Plymouth branch of a pipeline and heating distributor has joined up with the firm's Swansea operation to secure new international contacts.
BSS Industrial has combined the skills of team members from branches and is now supplying tube and fittings to Kazakhstan-based Datoba Construction. The Parkway Industrial Estate branch of Leicester-based BSS Plymouth was approached to tender for work on a new factory and port development in Kazakhstan. Unable to supply and specify such a large amount of product alone, by partnering with the branch in Swansea, the firm has secured the export account. Simon Baker, branch manager of BSS Industrial Plymouth, said: "This was an opportunity not to be missed. We will be supplying 1.5km of iron pipe which is approximately seven lorry-loads. "This is in addition to our own-brand radiators, tubes, fittings, tools and 800 metres of pre insulated pipework. "We have an incredibly strong team and we've proved that this is true of people across the whole of BSS Industrial and not just in our immediate region." The first shipment is already on its way to Kazakhstan.See the full content of this document
