Summary
The spin over fire service cuts has already started. For Trevor Stratford, Devon Fire Service chief fire officer for operations, to suggest that the increased attendance or response time will be minimal is in my view very misleading.
I have examined these proposals and the Service Corporate Plan, and the proposals seem flawed in that there is little or no evidence in the proposals themselves or the Corporate Plan to support how they have been formulated, nor how the figures regarding savings have been calculated.See the full content of this document
