South West chartered accountant Paul Aplin will be taking part in a meeting with politicians at Westminster on November 21 to discuss pre-Budget report impacts on business. Paul, tax partner at Somerset firm A C Mole & Sons, is chairman of the Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). Along with other ICAEW representatives, he will be taking part in a briefing for MPs and peers organised by the Associate Parliamentary Group on Business, Finance and Accountancy. "The Tax Faculty will be hosting a 'surgery' to answer MPs questions on how the changes, especially the proposed capital gains tax reforms, will affect businesses and individuals in their constituencies," he said.
