Somerset enjoyed a successful season in 2007, their best for six years, at the end of which they were promoted as Division Two champions and won promotion to the top flight in the Nat West Pro 40 competition, writes Richard Walsh.
The success on the field has been mirrored by a successful financial season off it and yesterday the club announced a pre-tax profit of more than pounds51,000, an increase of just over pounds2,000 on 2006.
