Summary

The King Blues have been making a name for themselves over the past couple of years as a politically-driven urban punk pop ensemble, but there's a definite sense of coming home when they play Exeter's Lemon Grove next week. Punk and Poetry, their acclaimed current album, was, like its predecessor, recorded in Devon with buzz producer Peter Miles at his residential studio near Ashburton. Josie Dobson, raised near Launceston in Cornwall, and known for fronting charming quirky pop outfit Josie and the Lovecats, has been playing keyboards and providing backing vocals. Alongside her is Kat Marsh, on bass and vocal harmony duties, well known on the Plymouth scene as an accomplished solo performer and musician in various city bands.
