MORE than 1,400 Young Farmers from the South West's six counties travelled to Torquay last weekend to take part in a host of competitions and activities, including a Question Time-style debate, and the highly contested regional drama finals.
The Question Time debate, before 200 guests, including the president and chairman of the National Young Farmers' movement, was made up of a panel comprising the Government's Rural Advocate, Dr Stuart Burgess, RDA executive director Andrew Slade, the chairman of Mole Valley Farmers Graham Cock, Nick Chase, head of policy and research at ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) and Ed Akerman a Wiltshire Young Farmer.See the full content of this document
