The owner of a Devon waste recycling business has been fined after staging a massive fire on Bonfire Night.
On November 5 last year, a member of the public reported a large fire and black acrid smoke, coming from a waste site at Hayedown, Tavistock. Environment Agency officers visited the site and spoke to the operator, Roger Sparling, who claimed the bonfire was a traditional November 5 celebration for his staff and family.See the full content of this document
