Summary
"WHERE there's muck, there's brass!" - a very old adage that I doubt younger (than myself) adults know of, but still true. The pertinent question is: Exactly who is making money - big money - out of the craze known as recycling?
Two articles on May 16 - "Anger over 'poor recyclers' claim" and, in the business section, "Pennon ups stake in waste services" - fail to provide us with a definitive answer, but rather confirm the fact that big money is at stake. "Fools and idiots" that most of the British public are, they are content to ask no questions but throw their chests out with spurious pride in the firm belief that they are doing something for "Queen and Country", certainly for the "environment".See the full content of this document
