Prime Minister David Cameron has denied that he was being "pushed into concessions" over the release of Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al- Megrahi during his visit to the United States.

Mr Cameron said it was simply a matter of "good manners" that he had altered his schedule for the two-day visit to meet senators pushing for an inquiry into the release, ordered by the Scottish Executive on compassionate grounds last year.
