MY HUSBAND is frequently bemused by Wife Swap, thinking the programme makers should swap couples who have more in common with each other. But when it comes to reality TV, conflict is the name of the game.

Celebrity editions of this show have merged some pretty big personalities. John McCririck and Edwina Currie springs to mind. And now I have the image of John in his grubby Y-fronts being served breakfast (and lunch and dinner) in bed by Edwina. Not a pretty sight. And neither was John.
