Show of Hands pairing Phil Beer and Steve Knightley go their separate ways for a while as both embark on solo tours. Phil's adventures begin in London on Monday, February 2 at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for which he has been nominated for Musician of the Year. Multi-instrumentalist Phil will then be variously joined by bass player and vocalist Miranda Sykes, French artist Flossie Malavialle, his own Phil Beer Band and Cornwall-based singer songwriter Tom Palmer on tour. His dates include Exeter's Corn Exchange on February 8, a fundraiser for berths for young people on the tall ship Pegasus on which Phil will be crewing in this summer's Tall Ships Race. He also plays the David Hall at South Petherton (February 19) and Devoran Village Hall in Cornwall (February 20). Steve's dates, all with young North Devon singer songwriter Jenna, take in The Plough at Great Torrington on February 27 and a finale at Exeter's Barnfield Theatre on March 1. Steve is about to release his new album, Track Of Words Retraced.
