Pop Diva Mariah Carey has given her backing to the crew of a Royal Navy ship after they made a Christmas video using one of her songs to celebrate their homecoming.

The star said the crew's cover version of her hit song All I Want For Christmas, posted on YouTube, was the "best thing" she had "ever seen" and thanked them for "making her day".
