Saltrock Expands High Street Presence with Six New Stores

Westcountry surf and leisure clothing brand Saltrock has plans to expand its high street retail presence with up to 20 stores, within the next two years. The Braunton-based business, which was rescued from administration and refinanced by Devon-based businessmen James Brent and Alan Bassett in April last year, is set to open five new stores over the next few weeks and a sixth in the new year.

The store openings are part of growth plans by the brand, which aims to secure greater control over its sales presence and pricing in the high street. The new business plans also place less emphasis upon its wholesale links, with many independent stores it formerly supplied having fallen victim to recession.
