A fleet of Santas made for a spectacular seasonal sight as members of a Westcountry canoeing club took to the water. Some 30 canoeists and kayakers from the Port of Plymouth Canoeing Association - one of the largest clubs of its kind in Devon - paddled out for their annual Christmas get together.
They set out from the Mount Batten Centre, on the River Tamar, heading for Devil's Point and an extended festive lunch. Club leader Terry Calcott said: "It was a great day out, it was lovely when you were out of the wind and we even managed to dodge the showers.
