Summary
For me, the 1950s meant RAF and Fleet Air Arm as well as myxomatosis and pesticides in the food chain. So it was no surprise to have a phone call from Roger Northam, who was "in" when I was, and to receive his book When The Golden Eagle Calls. It is the story of Roger's stint as a National Service Airman and most interesting a book it is, full of laughs and the camaraderie found in the services.
