More visitors than ever before enjoyed Mid-Devon Show this weekend, thanks to a combination of beautiful sunny weather and a host of attractions. "We had to open up an additional five-acre field for parking," said the organiser of the one-day agricultural show, Carolyn Branton. "Our previous record attendance was 16,500. The motto of this, the eighteenth Mid-Devon Show was, "As T'was and As T'is" and reflected in the wide range of attractions on offer. Vintage tractors and horse-drawn ploughing demonstrations rubbed shoulders with music from the pupils of Tiverton High School and agricultural machinery. The show's president this year was Princess Noora of Bahrain, who spends much of the summer in Devon at her large dairy farm near Crediton.See the full content of this document
