AN ENDANGERED steer marooned on a Cornish cliff face for five days has been heaved to safety thanks to the brute strength of firefighters.

Farmer Mark Hoskin believes one of his Friesian steers was forced into a ditch 20ft down the cliff after his herd of bullocks broke through a fence during stormy weather last week.
