I will start this week with some more news and results from the student surf championships. The bodyboarders held their contest over the same weekend as the main surf contest but at Newquay's Tolcarne Beach rather than Fistral.

There was none of the controversy that surrounded one of the contestants, Pablo Serrano, at the British champs last year. The Plymouth student made the finals of both the drop knee and the open, but could not clinch victory this time.
