All pregnant women in Plymouth are to be offered special screening to see if their unborn baby has Down's Syndrome.
At the moment the city is one of only a handful of areas in the country not to offer all mothers-to-be the screening. Plymouth Primary Care Trust has now set up a Plymouth Area Antenatal Screening Clinical Governance Board and is aiming to start the universal screening programme by April next year.See the full content of this document
