An 18-year-old woman died yesterday following a collision, amid torrential rain, on a Westcountry main road.

The three-vehicle crash on the A30 at Monkton, near Honiton, caused the road to be closed for more than eight hours. Police and other emergency services were called to the scene at about 9.25am yesterday following reports of a collision on the London-bound carriageway.
