Westcountry fire services are being forced to fill a "white elephant" 999 call centre or risk losing precious Government funding.
In December, ministers pulled the plug on plans for a single 999 control centre covering the South West after costs spiralled out of control. But the six regional brigades - including Cornwall and Devon and Somerset fire services - have been instructed to find a tenant for the centre in Taunton.See the full content of this document
