Summary
Ihave two owl boxes high in the beeches in our garden, one for tawny owls and one for little owls. Well, that's the theory anyway. At present, starlings are happily ensconced in the little owl box and are seen chattering and preening when it is dry and sunny, otherwise they disappear inside. I don't mind one bit who uses a nestbox and starlings, being excellent mimics, can probably imitate little owls quite well. They have that same fierce countenance, too.
As well as in the front garden, we now also have blackbirds nesting in the large bay tree in the back garden, so things are starting to get busy.See the full content of this document
