Summary
THE MUSICALS Musicals have been the mainstay of the London theatre scene for decades. They are amongst some of the longest- running shows in the West End - Les Miserables has been on for 25 years, then there's The Phantom Of The Opera (24 years), Blood Brothers (22 years), Chicago (12 years), Mamma Mia! and Disney''s The Lion King (both 11 years). No doubt the new Wizard of Oz, which opened last month, and the soon-to-open musical Shrek will be there for decades too.

It stars Joanna Riding, who won Olivier awards for performances in Me and My Girl (1993) and My Fair Lady (2003).
