Summary


One, I guess, has to accept that there has to be some give and take in a Conservativeled Coalition government but the Tories appear to have gone over the top on this. That, or they've adopted the "forked tongue" approach. They got elected, with David Cameron as their spokesman, on the back of several preelection manifesto pledges. Cameron promised to sort out the banks - he hasn't (the noise you can hear in the background is the banks laughing their socks off).

Cameron promised to repeal the European Courts version of the Human Rights Laws applicable to us and replace it with a British Bill of Rights - he hasn't and appears not to have any intention of doing so. He promised to be tough on crime; to get our police back out on the beat - he hasn't. In fact he and his party propose to do the complete opposite, cutting down the size of our police force, closing several prisons despite the fact that the system at present cannot cope with the numbers.
