The rnli and Goodyear tyres have joined forces to help fund lifesaving training. With every purchase of a set of Goodyear's HydraGrip tyres, a pounds2 donation will be made to the RNLI. Ben Crawley, Goodyear brand manager, said: "The RNLI is a fantastic example of an organisation with an innovative approach to safety and we are working with the charity to help fund and highlight its state- of-the-art training programme."
HALDON Forest Park near Exeter is on a shortlist for a pounds2,000 National Lottery Award. The 3,500-acre Forestry Commission park is one of final ten in the "best sports project" category. A park spokesman said the commission would spend any prize money on bicycles for people with disabilities. The winner will be announced in September following a public vote, which ends on August 3.
