Summary


SINCE the summer of 2008 wholesale gas and electricity prices have fallen - gas from Pounds 1 per therm to 36p (to the wholesaler) and electric by 60 per cent. But the cost to you and me, the domestic customers, has seen a rise of 40 per cent for gas and 15 per cent for electricity.

The big six energy suppliers have a stranglehold on power generation to us, yet don't appear to own any allegiance to this country judging by the fact that they have taken a profit bonanza from British consumers in the past year alone, while we struggle to survive.
