; Wadebridge Antiques and Flea Fair

Summary

The antiques and flea fair today at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, has dealers coming from far and wide.

Business is expected to be brisk, as there will be a range of sparkling ceramics and glass offered by Richard Hoppe, including a matched pair of iridescent trumpet neck globular vases in the loveliest sea green. Circa 1900, they were made by Pall me Konig and are almost the same height, the tallest being 8.5in and are sold together for Pounds 425. More affordable is a scent bottle made from a shell for Pounds 325, having been adapted by Samson Mordan in 1885 with the addition of a silver lid and collar.
