It's not often you find an American country artist as high calibre as Tom Russell turning up to play a gig at a Devon village hall. But the growling cowboy troubadour, who some say is ripe to don Johnny Cash's crown, had such a great night when he came to Chagford last year that he's back for more next weekend as part of his summer UK tour.
