Weapon Used in Road Rage Incident

Summary


A motorist was confronted in a road rage incident by a man carrying what police believe was a knife. The incident happened at about 6.45pm on Saturday as the driver, in his fifties, approached the roundabout by the Clyst St George pub, near Exmouth, East Devon, in his Renault Laguna. As he slowed to turn right towards Topsham, a dirty white saloon car sounded its horn and then stopped in front of him. A man got out of the vehicle and started shouting while holding what appeared to be a knife. Any witnesses should call Devon and Cornwall Police via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting crime reference KE/07/1511.

A POLICE officer and an elderly man were taken to hospital after a two-car accident in West Devon on Monday. The officer had been driving a patrol car on his way to an emergency call when his car was in collision with a Rover on the A386 between Tavistock and Yelverton at about 11am. Both the officer and the elderly man were taken to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital. Any witnesses should call Devon and Cornwall Police on 08452 777 444 quoting log 391 140507.
