Summary
A record entry of 27 herds took part in the 2010 South West of England Aberdeen Angus herd competition.
The task of judging fell to well-known freelance showman Richard Ashenden from Dorset, more commonly seen on the end of the halter for Colin Hutchings at many Westcountry shows. Mr Ashenden has always had an interest in Angus and until recently kept his own small herd under the Shendar prefix. Duriong the judging he travelled from Wiltshire and Hampshire all the way down to Penzance and even managed to have two roast lunches on one day - and said he had thoroughly enjoyed his time.See the full content of this document
