A BID by a Westcountry business consortium to build a massive tidal lagoon in Bridgwater Bay has moved on to a second phase in its bid to win a Government research grant of up to pounds500,000.
The consortium, led by A&P Falmouth, believes the lagoon could become the biggest green energy project in Britain. It says the proposed pounds3 billion project could generate electricity on a par with six power stations and more energy than all the wind farms that are proposed to dot the UK coast, combined.See the full content of this document
